2014km in 2014 & Sahara Trek

I’ve done a number of challenges over recent years from running the 97 mile West Highland Way, marathons, swimming in lochs, 10k obstacle course and sleeping rough in a car park. In 2014 I’m planning on a big challenge to help raise cash for a great charity based in Sheffield.

In November 2014 I will be walking over 100km through one of the harshest environments on Earth in the Sahara Desert. I will be joined by other trekkers walking up to 28km in a day, sleeping in shared Bedouin tents and enduring extreme desert temperatures…

Taking on a challenge is the norm for me, but this Sahara Challenge I’m sure will push me to my limits. As part of my training and to help focus on preparing for the trek, I have decided to run/trek 2014km in 2014 and raise £2014 through fun runs, half marathons and the Shakespeare marathon.

Sounds amazing doesn’t it?!?

I am covering the cost of the trip myself so every penny donated goes to help vulnerable children at risk through running away and the great work done by SAFE@LAST.

Please support me here

Over the coming weeks I’ll be posting links the runs and training I’m planning…
